Project Officer - ARC Cultural Research Network

John has been involved in a number of projects and events as a casual research or administrative assistant in the Centre, before starting as project officer for the ARC Cultural Research Network in February 2005.   

He has taught cultural studies and literary theory courses in the School of English, Media Studies and Art History at UQ, and in media studies at QUT, and in 2008 presented a lecture on Cultural Studies Theory to journalism students at UQ.

His PhD thesis, "Cultures of Authenticity: Popular Music, Food Television, and Travel Writing," is currently under examination.

John contributes to the group blog "The Memes of Production".
