The preferred registration option for the Conference is via our online system, as all your private information is transferred via a secure encrypted format into our databases.

Online registration and acceptance of payments via secure server, with GST Tax invoice is now available. You can view all conference costs by scrolling down this page. Once you have decided which registration is appropriate for you, please click here to be transferred to a secure site. Registration will be online, but you will have the option to pay online via a secure bank site or print out a tax invoice for forwarding with your cheque, money order, or credit card details. (Mail and fax details below).   If you have problems registering online please contact us, or see below for alternative registration.

Please note that the University of Queensland only accepts Visa, Bankcard, or Mastercard credit cards. For more details see below.

Overseas bank cheques must be in AUD$ Australian Dollars, drawn on an Australian Bank and free of all charges. If paying by cheque, all cheques must be made payable to the University of Queensland.

Any queries about visas for travel to Australia will need to be directed to the relevant Australian Immigration office. Payment will be accepted at the event, but there will be a 10% surcharge for registering and/or paying on the day. Please pre-register and prepay to avoid the 10% surcharge for registering and paying on the day. Please note that payment is required immediately now that the conference will be held on within 7 days.  See below for more details or download printable version of payment instructions.

International visitors can access the current exchange rate with an on-line currency converter, such as Oanda.com.  

All registration fees include lunch 10 -12 July. The conference lunch on Sunday 13 July is additional. Full day registrations also include morning and afternoon teas. If you wish to attend the conference for the three day program, please register and pay using one of the 3 day options. Once a three day package has been selected you do not need to nominate your attendance days.  If you are only going to register and pay for one or two days, please nominate an attendance day/days.

Please note that from time to time online access may not be available for a variety or reasons - we will endeavour to place notices about UQ server outages on the website. If you do not succeed with your first attempt at registration please try one more time several hours later before contacting us in case there has been an unexpected server outage (either on your network or ours).

Due to new privacy legislation, we must ask you to agree to our privacy policy prior to supplying any personal information to the University. Full details about the privacy policy are available online.

Payment will be accepted at the event, but there will be a 10% surcharge for registering and/or paying on the day. Please pre-register and prepay to avoid this surcharge. Please note that payment is required within 14 days from invoice/online registration date.

Now that the conference is due to start shortly, payment is required immediately with registratoin.

Once you have registered online, you will have the option to:

  • pay online via a secure bank site via your credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Bankcard are only credit cards accepted by the University of QLD) (If you require an invoice you need to print or email yourself the web tax invoice at the time of payment).

OR

  • print out/email yourself a web tax invoice for forwarding with your cheque, money order, or credit card details. (Mail and fax details below).

A tax invoice and receipt is available from the online registration and payment system. Paper receipts for payments made off-line will only be issued if requested or required by yourself or your institution, as the web tax invoice fulfills the Australian GST requirements once paid. If you require an invoice, please print it at the time of registering online. No other invoices will be issued.

Cancellation Fees: A 75% refund will be issued to registrations cancelled in writing no less than two weeks prior to the event. Cancellations made in the two weeks before the event are non-refundable. Registrations are fully transferable to another person nominated by you. Cancellation policy applies to all registrations received, including those without payment. A 10% surcharge applies for all non-payment registrations received and not cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy.

All amounts are quoted in Australian (AUD) dollars.

Click here to transfer to an On Line Currency Conversion site. International visitors will find the AUD amounts convert to relatively modest amounts due to the current low rates for the Australian Dollar.

Cancellation of Registration

Cancellation of registration must be in writing to the Project Officer, either by email, fax, or physical mail (address below). A full refund less a 25% administration fee will be given to registrants who cancel before 26 June 2003.
No refunds will be given after 26 June 2003, (within two weeks of conference start date) however registrations are transferable to another person nominated by you.
